Overview: As IT Manager at XYZ Company, you would be responsible for ensuring the continuous, secure, and efficient operation of all IT systems across the company’s operations in Mexico and other countries. Given XYZ Company’ unique focus on sustainable tilapia production, your role will extend beyond traditional IT to include integration with production systems and operational technology.
Key Functions:
- Infrastructure & Network Management:
- Design & Maintenance: Oversee the planning, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise networks, data centers, and server infrastructures used in production, supply chain, and corporate operations.
- Connectivity & Security: Ensure that networks (both on-premise and cloud-connected) are secured using firewalls, VPNs, and other protective measures.
- Systems & Operations Oversight:
- Production IT Integration: Coordinate with the production and operations teams to integrate IT systems with process control, IoT devices, or SCADA systems if used for water quality, environmental monitoring, and automated feeding systems.
- ERP & Business Applications: Manage ERP systems, CRM, financial tools, and other business applications crucial for inventory, sales, and operational analytics.
- Cybersecurity & Compliance:
- Security Strategies: Develop and implement cybersecurity policies and security architectures (often overlapping with responsibilities of a Cybersecurity Architect) to protect both IT and operational technology.
- Incident Response & Risk Management: Establish robust incident response plans and risk mitigation strategies. Regularly coordinate with compliance officers to ensure adherence to industry regulations and international standards.
- Vendor & Software Tools Management:
- Tool Evaluation: Evaluate both commercial and open-source software solutions (e.g., enterprise SIEM tools, network monitoring solutions) as well as hardware requirements that support day-to-day operations.
- Vendor Coordination: Oversee contracts and relationships with IT vendors, service providers, and technology partners across different regions.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration & Strategic Planning:
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with production, finance, sales, and HR to understand and support their technical and software needs.
- IT Budget & Project Management: Develop IT roadmaps, manage budgets, and ensure that technology investments deliver measurable benefits to operations and overall business growth.
